What uses processing time?

Processing time is used when your workflows are actively running. Waiting for a scheduled delay or an external event does not consume processing time.

Do I need a credit card to try it?

No. The 7 day free trial runs without a card. You only need to add one later if you choose a paid package.

Can I cancel or change plans later?

Yes. Billing admins can change packages, add capacity, schedule downgrades, or cancel from billing settings.

Does the monthly case limit count all my old cases?

No. Matter counts new cases opened during that billing month. Existing cases, older matters, and previous months do not use the next month's new-case allowance.

If I finish or close a case, does that free up a case slot?

No. Matter is not priced as a live slot system. Opening a case counts toward that month's new-case allowance. Closing it does not add that allowance back. The allowance resets each month.

Can one case have more than one client or party?

Yes. A case can include multiple applicants, family members, sponsors, organisations, or other related parties. If you manage it as one immigration matter, it counts as one case.

When should I choose Starter?

Starter fits when you are trying Matter or usually open up to 5 new immigration cases per month. It includes 1 staff seat.

When do I need Standard?

Standard fits when Matter becomes part of normal practice work. It includes 1 staff seat and 20 new cases per month. Each additional Standard staff seat adds another 20 new cases per month.

Can I start on Starter and upgrade later?

Yes. You can start on Starter, use Matter with a small caseload, and upgrade when your case volume or team size grows.

Can I downgrade from Standard back to Starter?

Yes, as long as your account fits Starter. Starter is capped at 1 staff seat, so you need to reduce active staff access before downgrading if more than 1 staff member is using Matter.

Do my clients count as staff seats?

No. Staff seats are for your team members working in the Matter agent portal. Clients using the client portal do not count as staff seats.

What happens if I hit my monthly case limit?

Existing cases stay available. If you are on Starter, move to Standard. If you are already on Standard, add another staff seat for another 20 new cases per month.
