Matter vs Ezymigrate

Ezymigrate was built in New Zealand for NZ immigration advisers. We were built in Australia for Australian migration agents.

The backstory

Ezymigrate launched in Auckland in 2011. It was New Zealand's first client management software for licensed immigration advisers, purpose-built for the NZ regulatory environment.

Since then, Ezymigrate has expanded to cover Australia, Canada, and several other countries. New Zealand remains its primary market, and the product reflects that heritage. Over 500 immigration advisors use it. The majority are based in New Zealand.

Pricing sits at $185 per user per month, plus a $350 onboarding fee per user.

What Ezymigrate does well

Credit where it is due. Ezymigrate has been around for over a decade, and in that time it has built real strengths.

Client-facing mobile app. "Check My Visa" gives clients a native app to track their case status. No other migration CRM offers this. It is a standout feature.
Invoices sync both directions between Ezymigrate and Xero. If your practice bills through Xero, the two-way integration saves real time on reconciliation.
Commission tracking for sub-agents is built in. Larger practices that work with referral partners will find this useful out of the box.
Need to bill by the hour? Ezymigrate includes time tracking for billing and performance measurement.

Where Matter is stronger

Security certification

CASA Tier 3 certification means independent manual penetration testing across all 14 OWASP ASVS categories. Ezymigrate has no published security certification. You hold passport numbers, health records, and financial documents for hundreds of clients. Verified application security is not optional.

Lower cost, no onboarding fee

From $79 per agent per month (TODO), with no setup or onboarding fees. Ezymigrate charges $185 per user per month and adds $350 per user to get started. For a three-agent practice, that gap amounts to thousands of dollars each year.

Built for Australia

Australian migration law, MARA compliance, Department of Home Affairs processes. That is the entire focus. Ezymigrate covers multiple countries, but it was designed around New Zealand's regulatory framework first. If you hold a MARN and advise under the Migration Act 1958, you want software that treats Australia as its primary market, not an afterthought.

Full automation platform

Matter runs on Neudash, a complete automation platform. Document collection reminders go out on schedule. Deadline alerts fire before anything slips. Client status updates happen without you writing them. Ezymigrate offers AI-generated cover letters, which is useful but narrow compared to automating your entire practice workflow.

Client portal for 190 countries

Your clients come from everywhere. Many do not speak English as a first language. The Matter client portal uses plain language, minimal jargon, and simple navigation so that anyone can upload documents, read updates, and complete questionnaires without confusion.
